Hey,

Quick update on Hexcup! We continue to see solid retail sales of game sets. We are considered "Amazon's Choice" for beer pong on Prime which is pretty dang cool. We have all of you to thank for it! Without your support we couldn't have even made it off the ground.

We are slowly but surely pushing our way into convenience, liquor, and brick and mortar retail spaces. We have made a few good partnerships that have allowed us to expand in this area recently. Some of you may have seen us at Hyvee grocery stores, Bevmo liquor stores, or maybe Fry's Electronics. Still the wholesale area is where Aaron and I are working push further. If any of you other backers or business people have tips and tricks, please get in touch!

As this crazy learning process keeps unfolding we keep meeting awesome people with unique views that help us push our idea further and we are now privileged to help others with the knowledge we have collected. We've each been able to present at our local one million cups chapters, talk with various college groups, interview with shows and publications, and support fellow creators looking for advice. Recently we've come across another cool project, quite similar to our own. After a lengthy conversation with Pedro of Rerak.Co, I'm not sure we've recently met a more motivated and sincere creator. The Results Are In! And The Winner Is....

When we launched our campaign in December of 2015, we had no idea we would get the support from the Kickstarter community that we did. We truly appreciate ever backer that has supported us on this journey.  Recall in your reward (and in every Hexcup set sold) we included a game card and asked for you to vote on the official rule of the Game Changer ball. Well the results are in...it’s official!  We are calling the Game Changer the On FIRE ball.

If you make the shot, your opponent takes a shot of cinnamon whiskey. Careful though. If you miss, you have to take the heat (bottoms up).

We really enjoyed the responses we received from everyone. There were quite a few hilarious ones, and others were... well, lets say questionable at best. :)  Love the beer pong community!  Going forward, a branded On FIRE ball will be included in every Hexcup sold.  Feel free to continue to assign which ever rule you would like to the Game Changer. At the end of the day, we do not dictate rules for such an amazing game, we are just glad you are honing those skills.

Almost 1 Year Since Launch

Hey everybody, can you believe it has almost been an entire year since we launched this project on Kickstarter?  Time sure does fly when you are starting up a business. We would not be here today without you, our backers, so thank you for believing in us.  It has been fun, challenging, and one heck of a ride.

It's been a while since we have sent out an update. Since being Kickstarted, we've made quite a bit of headway on the project. We want to let you know what we have been up to over these last few months. Take a look at the topics below:

RETAIL

Not too much longer after you guys got your sets, we were able to work out a deal that put Hexcup into Spencer Gifts stores. They have proven to be a really good partner, and we are hoping that lots of people will be able to find the product there and spread the word about our new cups! We are looking to expand the physical retail setting a little bit more soon to make them more widely available.

We have launched the product on Amazon and that has been a good fit for our E-commerce side.  We were hoping that you guys, those who believed in us, would be willing to write Amazon Reviews to help spread the sheer awesomeness of these cups. THE GAME CHANGER

Have you submitted your vote for "The Game Changer" yet?  We upgraded the game of beer pong with our cups and then turned to you. We challenged our backers and  supporters to vote or come up with a game-changing rule to be applied to the red ball. We will be selecting the idea that has the most votes. Currently, the Underdog is in the lead with 33.1% of the votes, and On Fire following closely behind.

BEER PONG TABLES

We have been busy expanding our products and are excited to announce that our 6.5ft Compact Folding Table is now available online at Spencer's Gifts. We have taken the time to add in some bold graphics and had them constructed out of a durable lightweight aluminum so that they will last. Hope you like them!

 

KICKSTARTER REWARD SURVEYS

We are glad to say that  reward fulfillment went as well as we could have hoped for. We have been working with each one of you individually if your reward did not make the trip or if it was returned to our warehouse. Let us know if you are still having trouble.

Currently, we still have 187 unanswered surveys and 31 surveys with incorrect credit card information. As soon as we have completed surveys and payment for the rewards, we will be more than glad to send out your reward. We want all our backers to get the rewards they deserve. Rewards Shipped

As of Friday night (well I guess it is Saturday morning, 1:50am CST) we have shipped all rewards that have completed the survey on time.  We currently have 228 backers who have not responded to the survey, therefore we do not have your address, and your rewards have not been shipped. Please take the the time to fill out your survey as soon as possible.

Also, we have 38 backers who's payment options are not valid per Kickstarters requirements. Please take the time to update your payment option if you have received this specific email.

As of now, we expect over 50% of you have play with your Hexcups. What do you think? Rewards and Surprises

As of Friday afternoon, we will have shipped out over 72% of our backers rewards.  It's been one heck of a week, that's for sure.  We have loved seeing posts and tweets of you and your Hexcup sets. It is great that you enjoy the cups. Get out there this weekend and use them! Don't hesitate to send us an email to let us know what you think or if anything comes up.

Some of you have noticed, others maybe not, but we did include a couple surprises in the reward levels.  If you ordered a Gametime Bucket, we have added a white Hexcup Branded bottle opener. "Poppin' bottles till 2 in the mornin'..."  The other surprise is the red ping pong ball. We call this the GameChanger. We upgraded the game of beer pong with our custom designed Hexcups, and now it's your turn!  We want to hear from our backers on how you will use the red ball to create a Game Changing rule.  If it gets enough votes then we will make it official.
